When choosing furniture hardware accessories, it is recommended to give priority to those brand products with reliable quality and a long history to ensure their durability and performance.
1. Definition of stainless steel:
According to basic chemical knowledge, steel refers to an iron-carbon alloy with a carbon content between 0.02% and 2%, while those with a carbon content of more than 2% are called pig iron. During the smelting process, by adding alloying elements such as chromium (Cr), nickel (Ni), manganese (Mn), silicon (Si), titanium (Ti), and molybdenum (Mo), the properties of iron can be improved, giving it corrosion resistance and not easy to rust, which is what we usually call stainless steel.
During the smelting process of stainless steel, different steel grades will be produced due to the different types and quantities of alloying elements. Common ones are 304, 301, 202, 201 and other stainless steels.

2. Differences in the application of stainless steel:
304 type stainless steel is widely used in humid environments or places in direct contact with water due to its excellent corrosion resistance. However, 201 type stainless steel is not suitable for long-term humid or coastal areas due to its relatively weak corrosion resistance. It is mainly suitable for dry areas and decoration fields with low quality requirements. It should be noted that due to the relatively low price of the 201 model, some bad manufacturers may pass off the 201 model stainless steel as the 304 model to seek higher profits.
The difference between 304 and 201 stainless steel is that the surface of 304 stainless steel is shiny and smooth to the touch; while the surface of 201 stainless steel is dark, lacks luster, and feels rough. In addition, after touching the two stainless steel plates with wet hands, the water stains and fingerprints on the 304 model are easier to wipe off, while the 201 model is not easy to remove.

3. Misunderstandings about stainless steel:
Stainless steel is not absolutely "rust-free". Its corrosion resistance will be affected by the chemical composition, state, use conditions and environmental medium type of the steel. For example, the 304 model stainless steel door and window hinges have good corrosion resistance in a dry and clean environment, but if placed in a coastal area (containing a lot of salt in sea fog), it is easy to rust.
These characteristics of stainless steel remind us to pay more attention when customizing doors and windows. The humid salt spray environment in coastal areas can easily cause surface corrosion of doors, windows and hardware accessories, affecting the appearance and performance. Therefore, when purchasing stainless steel furniture hardware, its surface treatment process should be given priority.

01 Wire drawing:
Metal wire drawing is a common decorative method that can form effects such as straight lines, threads, ripples, random lines and spiral lines. This surface treatment has the characteristics of good hand feel, fine gloss and strong wear resistance, and is widely used in electronic equipment, household appliances, mechanical equipment and other fields. Surface wire drawing processes include straight wire drawing, random wire drawing, ripple wire drawing, spiral wire drawing and thread wire drawing.
02 Mirror treatment:
The mirror treatment of stainless steel is to polish the surface, which is divided into physical polishing and chemical polishing. The polishing level ranges from ordinary polishing to super fine grinding 10K effect. The mirror treatment gives people a sense of high-end simplicity, fashion and future.
03 Sandblasting:
Sandblasting is a common surface treatment process in stainless steel processing. It uses compressed air power to spray sand particles to the surface of the workpiece at high speed to form a fine bead-shaped sand surface. The surface structure after sandblasting is uniform, which can create the low-key and durable characteristics of the product and has high production efficiency.
04 Anti-fingerprint treatment:
Stainless steel anti-fingerprint plate is a composite coating plate obtained after anti-fingerprint treatment on the surface, mainly by roller coating. The anti-fingerprint treatment process was originally designed to meet the needs of users in the home appliance field to prevent sweat stains from contaminating the surface of parts during the production process and affecting the appearance.
