There are many kinds of furniture hardware stamping processes, and the shapes and quality of stamped parts made by each process are different. If more things are produced, the cost of a single stamped part will be lower; if there are fewer things, a more cost-effective processing method must be used. So, what is the specific process of stamping sofa legs?
Simply put, the stamping process of sofa legs can be divided into two categories: separation process and forming process.
The forming process is to allow the metal sheet to be plastically deformed without damaging it, and become the shape and size we want.
The separation process, that is, blanking, aims to cut the stamped parts from the metal sheet along a specific contour line while ensuring the quality of the cut.

In actual production, a workpiece often requires several processes to be used together. For example, blanking, bending, shearing, drawing, bulging, spinning, and correction are all the main stamping processes.
The specific steps are as follows:
1. Design the process drawing of the processed parts: that is, draw the structural diagram of the sheet metal parts, draw the complex parts into a plane, analyze the part drawings, quickly understand the size and position relationship, determine the coordinate origin of the workpiece, and calculate the coordinates of the vertex and the curve connection point.

2. Choose the correct process method: According to the quality requirements of each surface, choose the appropriate processing method. Usually, the processing method is determined according to the accuracy and roughness of the surface, and the preparation process before finishing is determined.

3. Choose an efficient material cutting method: The bottom surface of the punching scissors is the shape of the punching scissors. If punching and cutting are required, they are formed by combining die punching. The bottom surface of the punching machine is flat and is used to punch parts. Use programming software to convert the drawings into content that can be recognized by CNC machine tools, so that the machine tools can cut out the shape of the parts. Laser cutting is to cut the shape on the plate with a laser.

4. Formulate the punching sequence: Generally, there are processing procedures such as punching angles, punching convex shells, punching and tearing, and pumping, which require corresponding molds to complete. The bending process also requires a bending bed and a mold. The design principle is to give priority to the next operation without interference.

5. Complete the process of fastening parts: usually completed by stamping riveting process or hydraulic riveting machine. Fasteners are riveted on sheet metal parts, and pressure riveting is commonly used for bolts, nuts, screws, etc. The flanging tap process is to dig a large hole on a small hole to increase strength and avoid sliding teeth. It is generally used for thin plate and thick workpieces. When the plate is thick, flanging tapping is not required.

6. Parts assembly method: Welding is to weld multiple parts together, or to increase the strength of a single part joint. Surface treatments include phosphate film, electroplating, baking paint, oxidation, etc. The specific method is selected according to demand. Assembly is to assemble multiple parts or assemblies into a complete project.
